Biographical Details
I thought I'd spare
you the unsavoury details of my CV (describing a life marred by
successful evasion of higher education and by a pursuit of
unhealthy interests). Instead, here is a much more direct insight into
my mind:
MR in absorption against a soft X-ray background.
I spend most of my time pondering the mysteries of the universe.
(if you are less than thrilled by looking at other people's family
pictures do not hit the above link. Only suitable for parents, grandparents and other individuals of similarly impaired judgment).
(A tour through India, including Varanasi, Agra, Jaipur, Delhi, Fatehpur Sigri, Srinagar, and Ladakh; accompanied by monsoon and diarrhoea).
(some vacation pictures from Greece, August 2004. True, some digital cameras have too many options).
(pictures from the aftermath of the conference on Absorption Lines and Galaxies or so, March '05.
Jet lag and high coffee intake have blurred the judgement of the photographer and these pictures).
(A selection of sites we saw in August 06. Ruins look best in sepia).
(Another trip to Syria, this time to the southeast, with a brief detour to Lebanon. We managed to visit the hottest part of the Syrian desert in midsummer, during an unprecedented heat wave in the eastern Mediterranean
).
