Magellan structure modal testing

Steve Gunnels and Frank Perez measured the lowest modes of the telescope top structure on Sep 22-23, 2004 to support GMT analysis. He reported (Magellan Telescopes Modal Testing) that the lowest resonant frequency was lower than he had originally predicted, but it was noted ([http://www.ociw.edu/magellan/ModalTesting/gmt14.pdf Magellan Pier Specified and As-Built Designs) that the pier model used did not correspond to the pier that was build.
