Visit Mar 30-31, 2004

Hull visited Brashear on Mar 30, 2004, and I visited the next day. They believe they have enough data to provide a good performance report for the lenses and Francois expects to have this done by mid-April. We agreed that Matt, Francois, and I will phonecon at the end of April to discuss the tests.

The shipping crates were not built at this time; apparently they were waiting for a design from Charlie Hull. Charlie gave them a drawing and Andrew Clarkson said it would be two weeks before shipping. That would be OK, but I asked for a ship date by April 10.

Schedule update Mar 8, 2004

Email from Brashear: They expect to deliver a testing data package for our approval around Mar 20, 2004. Charlie and I can visit around Mar 25-31, 2004, for final testing and packing.

In the cells Feb 26, 2004

Talked with Charlie, who says the lenses went into the cells and are in good shape. He's going to go in tomorrow to remove some centering screws; after that, it's up to Brashear to do the testing and build a box. This picture [WWW](bigger) shows one of the lenses mounted in its cell.

Shipped from Cleveland Crystals to Brashear Feb 25, 2004

Lenses were shipped from Cleveland Crystals a little earlier than expected (by Fed Ex White Glove) and Charlie confirmed they arrived OK in Pittsburgh a few hours later.
