Consider Oscar Saa's report We (Perez, Phillips, Osip, AU) discussed the report during our Jan 2004 engineering meeting. We agreed there was nothing glaringly bad in the report although there was discussion about safety while working in high places (stories of unsafe behavior to facilitate work). The possibility of invoking a strict "hardhat in the dome" rule was thought not to be productive since a lot of work (e.g., IMACS) is hampered or impossible while wearing a hardhat. The possibility of injury due to falling computer monitors during an earthquake was an unexpected possibility and we will take steps to fix it.
