Stellar Population Models

Stellar Population Models

Claudia Maraston (Portsmouth U)

ABSTRACT

Stellar population models are the key tool to derive the stellar population properties such as the age, the chemical composition, the stellar mass, of galaxies and star clusters. These properties in turn set important constraints to galaxy formation models. I review recent developments in the field and discuss future prospects.
